Ball bearings usually use two-piece composite steel stamped cages, while large or high-speed bearings use solid cages. The cage of this ball bearing is guided by the balls, similar to a stamped cage. The cage of high-speed ball bearings is generally guided by the inner ring or outer ring rib. Compared with other types of bearings of the same size, ball bearings have lower friction resistance, less vibration and noise, higher limit speed and higher precision. They are the preferred bearing type for users when selecting models. However, these bearings are not impact-resistant and are not suitable for bearing heavy loads.
